Life in Gettysburg

During the 1998-1999 academic year, I was a visiting scholar in Latin American Studies at Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. As part of my position there, they provided me with housing. As the plaque on the front of the house indicated, the house was built in 1834 for the president of Gettysburg College. It was a very lovely house, although it has subsequently been divided into a duplex. The Donley House

This is the side of the house on which we lived: Side of house

OfficeI also had a wonderful huge office on campus with a half-moon window. It was a very conducive atmosphere for being a productive scholar.

Well, that's all for now, folks!
